If Only We Could Get This One “Un-Remodeled” (21 Parsons)

21 Parsons

So while it was the $299,000 garden studio that first caught (and then lost) our attention, it was the juxtaposition between the original woodwork (which we love) and the very un-original kitchen (no comment) up that landed 21 Parsons on the site.

There's nothing quite like having to budget for a remodel of a remodel (and wondering what was lost the first time around).

∙ Listing: 21 Parsons #A (0/1) – $299,000 (TIC) [MLS]
∙ Listing: 21 Parsons (2/1) - $685,000 (TIC) [MLS]

you're totally right. I walked through this very cute building. then I came to the kitchen -- and typically, they installed those god-awful mottled granite countertops. I can't understand why ugly granite countertops are consider as attractive, desirable, or "luxury." they're just plain tacky and ugly.

Granite may not always be attractive, desirable, or luxury, but it tops the practicality list and I'd take a solid surface over tiled countertops any day. I have an aversion to grout and the cleaning that accompanies it.

What the MLS listing and Socketsite post do not make clear is that this is a TIC - the financial equivalent of unsafe sex with a stranger.

[Editor's Note: Good catch and it's now been noted (at least on SocketSite).]
