Plans to level the former Northwest Berkeley service station turned abandoned tax office at 1740 San Pablo Avenue and develop a modern five-story building with 48 apartments over 3 street level live/work units and a stacked garage for 53 cars were approved by the city earlier this year.

Two months ago, the parcel and plans hit the market listed for $6.7 million. And as of this afternoon, the official list price has been dropped to $5.2 million.
