Purchased by Cuonzo Martin for $2.5 million in mid-2014, two months after Cuonzo was named head coach of Cal’s men’s basketball team, the 4,123-square-foot Piedmont home at 88 Sandringham Road hit the market listed for “$2.495 million” last month, two weeks after Cuonzo resigned from Cal and accepted a seven-year, $21-million deal to coach at Missouri.

And yesterday, the sale of 88 Sandringham, which has been remodeled over the past three years – including a new floor plan for the main floor, a reconfigured and remodeled kitchen, and the addition of the rear patio and outdoor fireplace – has closed escrow with a contract price of $3 million.
