  2. Interesting staging, they clearly aren’t trying to get a family in there. If I count right it looks like they have 3 offices and 2 bedrooms.

    Developers need to realize that when choosing between obese contemporary design built to max out the lot vs room for a garden, the green should win every time. This is wonderful.

  4. A real beautiful property, especially the views and the way the LR flows into the garden/courtyard. The entry is beautiful as well.
    The details really shine through here… perhaps only the kitchen seems to have lost a bit of connection to the rest of the space.

  5. @lark: This was built in 1937 on a 47-ft-wide lot. Those developers are long gone– as are the 47-ft-wide lots. I suspect the decision to build this way was the client and architect’s, not some bogeyman “developer.”
