318 Winfield No Longer "Bank Owned" (But Reduced)

As we wrote last month:
Purchased for $1,050,000 in March 2005, the listing for the remodeled Mid-Century modern three-bedroom Bernal home at 318 Windfield suggests it’s now bank owned (but which we can’t confirm) and asking $1,150,000.
The eye catching "REO" notation on the MLS listing was subsequently changed to "no." And yesterday the list price for 318 Windfield was reduced to $1,092,500.

So what caused the original "REO" flag ? Data entry error ? Or can homes really transition from bank owned back to resident owned ?

Nice place, but $750 psf is pushing it in this market for this hood; think this one will need to come down closer to its 2005 price or a little under.

Data entry error ?
Most likely, as there was nothing at the Recorders site to suggest the home was having problems...

I went to the property website and it only has the front image in the gallery...

I went to an open house, and the showing agent said it had been owned by the same couple for a long time, and that they had been renting it out for several years.
It is an extremely nicely done house, but the price is high for the 'hood, as others have mentioned. Great location, too.
