It’s more an ad for AT&T than an actual overview of his pad. And it’s not for sale. But it is interesting to note that Baron Davis lives adjacent to the Transbay Terminal.

Perhaps it’s time to take another look (and get ready to strike that second sentence).
UPDATE: From a plugged-in reader: “Baron does not own the condo…he leases it.” A multi-millionaire renter? Heresy!

  1. “Baron Davis leaves Warriors for Clippers” really means “smart guy leaves San Francisco for Los Angeles.”

  2. it’s worth watching that commercial. midway through it Deion Sanders shoots from a balcony and makes the basket across a courtyard on the first attempt. It’s amazing (and lucky of course)

  3. “Baron Davis leaves Warriors for Clippers” really means “smart guy leaves San Francisco for Los Angeles.”
    Obviously you don’t follow basketball

  4. The Los Angeles Clippers play their home games in the same exact building as the [NBA finals loser] Los Angeles Lakers.
But I wasn’t talking about basketball.

  5. It means Baron has decided to take a paycheck and phone it in for the rest of his career.
A talented player, but he’s not as good as he thinks he is.

  6. “The Los Angeles Clippers play their home games in the same exact building as the [NBA finals loser] Los Angeles Lakers.”
Umm, Frontier Oil and Pulte Homes both trade on the NYSE.
“But I wasn’t talking about basketball.”
    I realize that.

  7. Re: “Will his beautiful loft condo be up for sale soon?”
Baron does not own the condo…he leases it.

  8. B Dizzle makes smarter financial decisions apparently than most others around here seeing that he is a renter. 🙂
    @ Fishchum,
You obviously do not know what you are talking about. “Phoning it in” would be sticking with the Warriors for the rest of your career.

  9. 5 yrs. for a guy who’s played 2 full seasons out of the last 6? He was great for the W’s while here, but no thanks.

  10. I’d take Elton brand over injury prone fickle Baron Davis any day of the week.
Elton brand is a legitimate MVP type player. maybe he will be ‘smart” enough to get a rental as well.

ummm, in case you weren’t really paying attention, Brand isn’t coming to the Bay Area. Brand opted out to get BD to come on down to join him with the Clip Joint. unless mullie works a miracle, even with the higher offer Brand ain’t coming. the story is pretty fascinating though. if they can burn Baron’s deal with the Clips, or steal Brand, Baron is really going to hate the W’s.

I loved BD and what he brought to the W’s. But he was smart and left b/c 1.) he got paid 2.) he finally got himself a superstar sidekick.
I’ll miss him, as will most W’s fans, even the BD haters, when we’re bound for the lottery again next year.

  12. dg,
Oh, ok – Davis is going to take the Clippers to the playoffs? This is a guy who’s played what, one full season out of how many? At least with the Warriors he had a shot at making them a legitimate contender.
He signed with Clippers to be in LA and surround himself with the same type of “yes men” posse and Hollywood friends that he’s been with.
He’s not taking the Clippers anywhere.

  13. Fishchum, I don’t disagree with you on those points. I never said he was taking anyone to the playoffs, and I think he is a tin man as well.
But phoning it in makes it sound like he is going to a worse team, whereas I think he actually is gonna be part of a better team with Brand. The Warriors, even tho they had a good year in a tough West, just cannot git er dun. Plain and simple.
Bottom line – both the Ws and the Clips suck. But this makes the Clips better and the Warriors worse, unless they replace him with a better free agent.

  14. the clips are definitely a worse team and ahve less chance than GS of making a title team. BD is a hollywood sellout and wants to make movies. he’s not going for the basketball

  15. ” . . .However the clips cap out at $70 mil. Warriors just offered $90 mil.”
    That’s real estate.
