An “Industrial Chic” Bath In The Mullen Buildings (60 Rausch #204)

We’ve always like the Mullen Buildings. And the “industrial chic” master bath of 60 Rausch #204 is one of the more unique (and industrial) that we’ve seen (in the building).

Tandem two car parking (so you'll have a place to store that SUV). Unfortunately the patio isn't private (especially considering the windows). And while this condo has been on the market for almost two months, the last time we checked there weren’t any photos (obviously that’s changed).
∙ Listing: 60 Rausch #204 (2/2.5) - $989,000 [MLS]

Finally I can attain my dream of living in an unfinished warehouse for only $1M. Lofts do not make sense when they are this expensive.

The master bathroom looks a bit like an underground torture chamber ... albeit with some upscale touches.
A harsh assessment, I guess, but am I the only one that thinks that some of these lofts are a bit too industrial?

I couldn't agree more. Lofts started out as a cheap (and uncomfortable) alternative to apartments. You'd move into an old industrial building still having the feel (and sometimes smell) of whatever activity there was before. The landlord couldn't afford leaving the place empty or couldn't afford to redesign the place for a new business.
Now they're making "Loft buildings" and market them sometimes for more than apartments. A total hack, imho. Authenticity is what I would look for were I on the market for a loft.

That bathroom has got to go.

Don't bathrooms usually have mirrors?

Except for the clean glass, that looks just like the bathroom at my gym. And the kitchen looks like a weak 3D rendering from the 80s. The living area looks OK but, for a million bucks? That's pretty tough to swallow.

The Mullen Building is one of the very few authentic lofts in SF!

If the price were lower 30%, I would go and look at it.
1) It is not very nice
2) the layout and space are not ideal
3) everything looks cheap
4) IT is in a TERRIBLE neighborhood.
Why would anyone think they could price this at $970?

The bathroom looks like the bathroom used in certain dvds from Japan my friend accidentally left in the guest bedroom media drawer after visiting. Sometimes guests can leave too much information about their personal habits.

From a practical standpoint, this place is great!
You can see all your pipes and wires. Searching for a leak or a short has never been easier.
Now, there is the issue of the clogged pipes. Don't these people know plexiglass?
