Le Petit Trianon (3800 Washington) closed escrow last week. And while the contract price was not disclosed, according to a plugged-in tipster it was well over the reduced asking price of $19,500,000 (but ended up including the empty lot next door/behind as well).

  1. Lots of, shall we say, intrigue surrounding the owner of this place — art auctions gone bad and avoiding foreclosure on his ‘farm in the countryside’. Oh, and a NOD filed on Dec. 31, 2009 (RealtyTrac is showing the amount at $4+million.) Hope he fares better than John McAfee.

  2. Btw, my impression was that Le Petit Trianon sold for $16M and that the lot behind sold for $4M. The current tax records seem to confirm this, as both have been bumped up 2% from those amounts for 2009.
