According to the folks at Heritage on Fillmore, they’re now ready for move-in and “50% sold.” No word on whether or not that “50%” includes the 12 BMR units or any of the 10 units that were being reserved for the developer. But if so, that’s likely 18 arms length sales (out of 68 market rate units) over the past four months (with 40 to go).

does anyone else think that floorplan is a little weird?
Why does the ‘guest’ bedroom have the walk in closest and faux balconey? That master bedroom looks like it would be rather dark, not necessarily a bad thing, with a wierd bed placement.
Agreed, the floorplan looks ridiculous. The pillars in the living room like they will be unpleasant as well.

another City driven project that is uninspired.
the whole idea here was to bring new housing and “vibrant” project to jump-start this moribund area. how does the redevelopment agency justify years of planning for this result?
SFOrange, have you actually been down to the site lately? It’s hardly moribund and there’s healthy retail on both sides of Fillmore and even on side streets. Even the formerly horrible pedestrian entrance to the Safeway mall is now pretty active and you are more likely to see normal neighborhood residents taking their leisure than to see bums passed out on the benches.
The Yoshi’s restaurant and stage in the Heritage has a wonderful interior design and will be a big attraction in that neighborhood.
I agree with Jeffrey that the area is much improved. But it is truly tragic how much time (and money) was spent trying to revive a block or two into the “jazz district”. The whole thing has years – no, decades – of bad karma behind it. And the city has been operating out of a sense of (well deserved) guilt, trying to somehow put something back together that can never be fixed (since the district was cleared in the 60’s). And I might add, many many people have profited in both small and large ways from the endless, often pointless, process. I hope that this project finally “completes” the jazz district and we can all move on.
I’m really enjoying the design and layout of your site. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more enjoyable for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your theme? Exceptional work!
