Think Escher (Not Eichler)
A tipster forwards this picture from inside the kitchen/stairway at 379 Hill Street and asks a perfectly reasonable question, “What were they thinking?” And although the MLS listing touts ‘Retro Kitchen with metal cabinets” (while managing to gloss right over that little staircase), at least the website acknowledges that it “has the potential for…improvement.”

Nope. Unlike those pictures from the listing for 1001 Vallejo, this one hasn’t been altered.

click my link for permit history. Also notice that the square feet is 655(tax records) + 300(loft)...
I doubt the loft is legit. Need 36" landing at each stair. is that a new price/sf record?

In case of fire, DO NOT use the stairs; you'll be stuck in the kitchen!!
