New Sales Force At The Beacon: Your Neighbors

The Beacon Referral Program

From a “plugged in” tipster: “Apparently the brokers aren’t referring enough new buyers to The Beacon to get those $2500 Best Buy cards. Yesterday all 500+ Beacon homeowners received a notice on their doors from the Beacon sales office (Mark Company) offering a $15,000 bonus if they refer two new homeowners.”

Can’t help but notice that while a second referral on a $600K unit would yield an “owner” $10K cash, an agent would effectively pocket $7.5K cash (if commission split 50/50 with a broker). Good thing they’re offering those gift certificates...

Waaaaaaait a minute. I don't think that's legal. They can't pay a referral fee to non-licensed people. Someone should file a complaint with the DRE. Seriously.
