Well, Curbed (the NYC original) catches wind (via: ltjbukem – we have no idea…) of an Oakland loft decked out with a stolen transplanted liberated NYC subway sign. Their conclusion? “Even in the Bay Area, it’s all about NYC.” Huh?

Ok, maybe it is about NYC in a loft, but that’s a contextual thing. I’d be hard-pressed to find that same piece hanging in a San Francisco victorian or the like.
Anyway, it’s impossible to compare SF to NYC – two different worlds. It’s like the big brother who played football and his little bro who likes to skate.
In my opinion, SF takes the cake, but I’m biased.

This loft was a happy place for two people and all those that know them. It was a healing aantuary for one. A place where a life healed from hurt. The loft has a warm loved personna. The view of the estuary and the shore of Alameda and the hills of the west bay in the far distance. A great place to watch the fireworks on the 4th and the boat parade of lights on New Years Eve. Walk the steets past the Oakland Amtak station to the shops and resturants of Jack London Plaza. It is a nice place to live. It is and was a good plce. The subway sign is a smile in the room.
