605 9th Street Oakland

Purchased for $1,050,000 last September, plans to level the former Holy Ground Fellowship building turned taggers paradise at 605 9th Street in Old Oakland, are in the works. And as envisioned, an eight-story building with 25 apartments will rise upon the site which is adjacent to the Oakland Flower Market at 821 Jefferson Street.

      1. What are you talking about? The building across the street are the Market Square I & II condos, the second phase which was completed around 2007 or 2008 if I recall. The other corner is 901 Jefferson, another new construction project which opened around the same time (its currently rental owned by Berkshire Group, rents are north of $2500). The final corner is another condo project – name escapes me. Was new construction condo opened in the 2000s I think (maybe late 1990s???)

Regardless, 3 out of 4 corners are occupied by fairly large condo or new construction rental (each occupying a full block or close to it). That graffiti building is actual the last corner site on that block that HASN’T yet been redeveloped.
