When the bar and restaurant at 620 Jones was approved to open, it was conditional upon an agreement that Jones would close its outdoor patio and bar at midnight and shuffle its patrons indoors, much to the chagrin of revelers on warm Indian summer evenings, such as tonight.
And while it won’t help you this evening, in a few weeks, San Francisco’s Planning Commission will be presented with a request to extend the permitted hours of operation for Jones’ outdoor patio until 2am, the approval of which should please its patrons, but might be met with a bit of resistance from those next door.
I LOVE this place, the idea of this place and everything about it. There are too few roof top restaurant bars and too few mid-building-view spots too.!
The only rooftop restaurant that’s at the same level as the street entrance!
